Shopping for the perfect husband
Today I feel like telling you a joke that I got in an email from Israel:
Since many women are often unable to find the perfect husband, someone had the idea to open a large department store and to offer husbands for sale…
It was a lovely air conditioned department store, which was spread over six floors with quiet escalators leading you to all six levels.
The only trick to shopping at this department store, was that you cannot change your mind and go back down, once you went to a higher floor.
You had to chose a man from the men available for sale on the floor you were on…
Let us follow and join one lovely single woman who entered the first floor….
In the first floor she saw many men, all dressed elegantly sitting on armchairs around the beautiful store.
The sign said: “On this floor you will find men who all have great jobs with a very good income.”
She liked the idea of being married to a man with a good income,….. But she wanted much more from a marriage…. And she was also curious to see what was on the second floor….
On the second floor she saw the same thing….. but this time the men who were offered for sale, sat under a sign that said:
“On this floor you will find men who all have great jobs with a very good income, and are all sensitive and kind.”
She loved this…. But she still wanted more and she was curious as to what was offered on the third floor…
So she made her way to the escalator and rode it to the third floor.
It was the same scene and the sign said:
“On this floor you will find men who have great jobs with a very good income, and are all sensitive and kind, PLUS they are romantic and loving.”
This was getting better and better…. So she made her way to the forth floor to see what she could score there….
It was yet again the same scene of handsome elegant men with a sign that said:
“On this floor you will find men who have great jobs with a very good income, and are all sensitive and kind, PLUS they are romantic and loving, adventurous, generous, funny and fun.”
She was so excited……, that she run over to the escalator to see what was offered on the fifth floor.
There she saw the same selection of good looking elegant dashing men and a sign that said:
“On this floor you will find men who have great jobs with a very good income, and are all sensitive and kind, PLUS they are romantic and loving, adventurous, generous, funny and fun… And as an added bonus they will be loyal to you and adore only you.”
She could hardly contain her curiosity as to what was awaiting her upstairs on the sixth floor….. The last and ultimate floor.
When the escalator deposited her on the sixth floor, she saw that it was an empty floor…. No armchairs…. No furniture…. No men at all…
But there was a lonely electronic sign that ticked another number and said:
You are customer number 37,852,341 to have reached this floor.
This floor has no men for sale, and you will have to leave this department store unmarried.
This floor exists ONLY to show you that no matter how wonderful the man you will have, you will not be able to see nor enjoy it….
If you’ve reached this floor, you will still not be satisfied with your marriage.”
Across the street from this department store, someone had built a similar department store that offered women for sale as wives to single men.
On the first floor they offered women who love sex….
Not one single man ever ventured above the first floor to explore what was offered on the second, third, forth, fifth or sixth floors……
