Cycling The Silk Road In China – From temples to mosques
Yesterday we saw some cliff hang temples and caves, right above dusty small towns and villages.
The locals do not even raise their eyes to admire the effort, beauty and majesty that went into creating these beautiful carved temples in the sky…But I am hypnotized by the neglected beauty.
We passes through a busy weekend market, with thousands of people.
Some little towns, that appear like nothing more than a dot on the map, are home to 2.2 million people. The numbers blows the mind.
At the end of the day, we entered a dry arid area..
Suddenly the beautiful Taoist and Buddhist temples are replaced by Chinese looking pagodas, with sprouting roof top beautiful minarets.
The landscape is filled with mosques, minarets and calls for prayers.
